Commentary:
When people think about dump trucks, a lot of them think of them as nearly invincible vehicles that can handle tons of boulders dumped into it’s bed by a bulldozer, but in reality, these trucks, especially in rollover accidents, are not very sturdy. In reality, the passenger compartments of these trucks are often built of very, very flimsy metal. This thin structure is often crushed beneath the immense weight of the tractor-trailer, and occupants rarely fare well. If this vehicle’s passenger compartment buckled like I have described, then the truck’s manufacturer could be held liable for the accident, or at least a portion of it.
