Pryor, OK — Last month, there was a semi-truck accident involving a tour bus that injured the truck driver and 11 people on the tour bus. It happened south of Pryor, at a railroad crossing on Highway 69. Recently, authorities have confirmed that the truck driver, 45-year old Jimmy Griner, has passed away as a result of his injuries.
The original accident happened early Thursday morning, August 14. Griner was driving his semi-truck along Highway 69 when he came upon a tour bus that was trying to stop for a railroad crossing. As the tour bus came to a stop, Griner’s semi-truck rear-ended it and caused major damage to the truck, pinning Griner inside.
A total of 11 people were injured on the tour bus and Griner was flown to a hospital in critical condition. However, the news reports recently confirmed that Griner died from his injuries last week – Wednesday, September 17, 2014.
