TEMPLE, TX — Two people were rushed to the hospital following a head-on collision that was reported in Temple, Texas on Sunday, July 20th, 2014, according to the news report from KWTX.
Police believe two people were hurt when a 2006 Saturn driving the wrong direction on Interstate 35 collided head-on with a pickup truck around 12:30 Sunday evening.

Four individuals in the pickup truck as well as the driver of the Saturn were taken by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital for the treatment of their unspecified injuries.
Authorities familiar with details of the accident currently believe alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
Commentary:
If this accident winds up being an alcohol related one, then there are a number of questions that remain unanswered, namely, where the offending driver was coming from before the accident. The thing about liquor regulations in the State of Texas is, that bars have a legal obligation to cut somebody off when they feel that the customer is approaching a .08 BAC. As you can imagine, if you’ve ever been to a crowded bar on the weekend, this regulation is often overlooked. If a bar had served the offending driver beyond the legal limit, then there could be a liquor liability claim against the bar that failed to serve within the parameters of the law.
