Commentary:
There are always a great deal of questions lingering in the air after an accident like this, but first and foremost, finding out why the truck crossed the center-line of traffic needs to be found out. You may be stunned to learn that truck drivers, despite being trusted with an 80,000 pound vehicle, are equipped with a far greater number of behind-the-wheel distractions that everyday drivers face. Besides the cell phones that everybody has ( sometimes truckers have two, one personal, one work), trucks have TV’s, tablets, laptops, GPS’ and two-way radios that can all waylay the attention of the driver and cause an accident. A skilled investigator can get his hands on these devices, and if even one of them was in use in the moments before the crash, the trucking company could be liable for the accident.
