Commentary:
A lot of people I run into on the street and in my day to day goings on seem to have it in their heads that drunk driving accidents are handled in the same way that your typical everyday collisions, and this is simply not accurate. Alcohol related accidents are generally handled with some kind of criminal facet, and finding out where the driver was drinking before the crash. Why is this significant information? Because if they happened to take it upon themselves to drink at a bar, the bar or nightclub may have violated alcohol regulations, and as a result may bear at least some of the liability for the accident if the facts line up correctly.
