Vacaville, CA — Two teenagers will killed in a single-vehicle accident over the weekend. Authorities report that Gilberto Guzman andChristine Brinsley were on their way home from a trip to Lake Berryessa when they lost control of their pickup and ran off the road. The accident occurred last Saturday, on Pleasants Valley Road, just west of Vacaville, at around 5:30 in the evening. According to witnesses, the truck was speeding down the road when it lost control going around a curve. The truck drove off the side of road and flipped several times. There were five teenagers in the truck at the time, and all five were ejected from the vehicle.
Guzman was pronounced dead at the scene, while Brinsley was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center, where she died while in surgery.
The three surviving teens suffered serious injuries and were all hospitalized.
Authorities have said they suspect alcohol to be a contributing factor to the accident.
