SIOUX CITY, IA — A tractor-trailer accident claimed the life of one person Sioux City, IA and left several more injured on Thursday, April 3rd, 2014, according to the report from The Sioux City Journal.
Authorities working closely with accident investigation teams have said that they have reason to believe one person was killed when the vehicle they were driving was struck by a truck that crossed unexpectedly over the median and into their path while driving on Interstate 29. The accident was reported around 4:30 in the evening.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency personnel arrived. One other person in the vehicle was hospitalized with unspecified injuries connected to the crash.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing, and officials from the Iowa State Police hope to release more information at a later date.
