MERCER COUNTY, WV — One person was sent to the hospital after two cars collided with a tractor-trailer in Mercer County, West Virginia on Thursday, January 30th, 2014, according to a report from WVNSTV.

Officials have said that one woman was hurt when the car she was in was involved in a chain-reaction accident while driving on Route 460 in Route 19. The vehicle hit a tractor-trailer, which then struck another vehicle.

One person was taken by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital where an update on their condition was not made available by hospital personnel.

The investigation into the accident is currently being handled by officials from local and state offices.
