Leticia Gutierrez, Elda Quiroga Injured After Car Wreck in Odessa, TX

Local news sources in Odessa TX reported that Leticia Gutierrez 45 and Elda Quiroga 42 were injured in a two-vehicle accident that happened on July 22 2012 at about 1:22 in the morning. Police said that Gutierrez was driving with Quiroga along East 42nd Street and crashed into an SUV that allegedly ran a red light at Andrews Highway.

Peg Perego Strollers Recalled Due to Infant Death and Strangulation Hazards

According to reports 223000 strollers from Peg Perego in Fort Wayne IN were set to be recalled due to a strangulation and entrapment hazard. Authorities said that the stroller models Venezia and Pliko-P3 select model numbers posed a strangulation threat due to a childs ability to slip into the opening between the seat bottom and the strollers tray.

Reports said that a 6-month old infant from Tarzana CA became stuck in the stroller in 2004 and died of strangulation. Another infant was also trapped in a similar manner but was only injured in the accident. Consumers are reportedly able to contact the manufacturer for a repair kit.

Ford Escape Recall Announced Due to Damaged Fuel Lines

Local reports stated that the Ford Escape an SUV is being recalled for allegedly damaged fuel line issues. According to sources the Escapes fuel lines are mechanically scored and that the issue occurred during the manufacturing process. Consumers are told to contact a dealer and obtain a free repair.

According to the news releases the damaged fuel lines can leak fuel which could then ignite and catch fire. Ford announced that it would recall 11500 units of the 2012 Escape. They are expected to update as necessary with the recall.
