Archdale, NC – A High Point public works employee was seriously injured after a fall on October 21, 2015. The accident occurred around 9:30 AM.
According to reports, a High Point public works employee was working at a Sewage Lift Station on Weant Road when he fell down the sewage lift as his crew was attempting to remove a sewage pump. The worker fell roughly twenty feet.
The worker was seriously injured in the accident. He was transported by air to Baptist Medical Center for treatment.
The accident is under investigation by the city of High Point and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
His identity was not released pending family notification.
