Mattawa, WA — Local news reports from the Grant County Public Utility District confirmed that there was a major explosion at the Priest Rapids Dam in Mattawa earlier in October of this year. As a result, 6 workers were injured and sent to a hospital.
This happened on Thursday afternoon, October 8, 2015 at about 4:15 p.m. in the afternoon.
Tt’s not quite clear what happened or caused the explosion, but it appears that all 6 workers were in stable condition and didn’t suffer any life-threatening injuries.
