Lumberton, Texas – The driver of a tanker truck hauling biodiesel was injured when his rig overturned in Lumberton on Monday, August 31st, 2015. The incident happened around 10:30 am.
It looks like the 18-wheeler was traveling northbound along Highway 69, between Pleasure Drive and Paradise Drive, when he lost control of the vehicle, for reasons undetermined. The truck then hit a railing and flipped twice before coming to rest.
Four men interceded to aid the trapped truck driver, freeing him from the crushed cab.
The driver was taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth for treatment of his injuries. He’s reported to be in stable condition.
The reasons surrounding the accident are still not clear. There’s been no mention of medical emergency, mechanical malfunction, or excessive speed in relation to this accident.
