MOUNT CHARLESTON, NV — A firefighter was taken to the hospital after a flash fire in Mount Charleston, Nevada on Monday, May 25th, 2015. News sources said that the accident happened sometime Monday afternoon.
Officials believe Josh Evans was hurt when a fire broke out while he was refueling a chain saw near the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. The report did not say how the fire happened, or where it may have originated.
Evans was flown by EMS to University Medical Center where he was being treated for burns to his upper body.
The US Forest Service is assisting with the accident investigation.
