Polkton Township, MI — Police identified 27-year-old Kenneth Clinger as the man who was burned by liquid fertilizer in Polkton Township, Michigan, on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. The accident took place in the 9500 block of Taft Street.
Clinger is an employee of Crop Production Services. He was transferring liquid fertilizer from a truck to a piece of farm equipment when he was sprayed with it and burned from his torso to his knees.
Police said the burns were consistent with a heat burn, and not a chemical burn.
Clinger was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Local authorities are currently investigating the accident.
