Commentary:
This dump truck was stopped on the side of the road, making a trash pickup, right? Has anyone checked to see if its brake lights were working at the time? Were other drivers on the road given adequate warning of the potential hazard? I know that some people will be quick to dismiss this as a silly way to blame the accident on the dump truck, but it’s a valid concern. If a large truck like that is going to be making frequent stops and blocking traffic, then other cars on the road had better have a fair warning, or we can expect more accidents like this one in the future. Thankfully, this wasn’t as serious (or fatal) as it could have been.
