STEELE, MO — Jamie Specht was identified as the woman that was hurt in an accident between a car and an 18-wheeler that happened outside Steele, Missouri on Thursday, March 5th, 2015. The official Highway Patrol report said that the accident happened at about 1:00 Thursday afternoon.
42-year-old Jamie Specht was hurt when the Audi she was driving and a Freightliner tractor-trailer collided while driving on Interstate 55 in the southbound lanes. Police believe Specht struck the rear of the semi-truck on icy roads.
Spect was taken to Elvis Presley Trauma Center where an update on her condition was not available. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the accident.
Missouri State Highway Patrol officials helped Pemiscott County representatives with the accident.
