Reports say that both drivers were drinking at the time of the crash. However, that hasn’t been confirmed. But while it is possible, there are other details that need to be paid attention to. There are stop signs at this intersection only for those traveling on Hacienda, and the driver of the Toyota stopped at that sign, and from what’s been reported, was traveling the speed limit. The other driver was potentially drunk and speeding. If that was the case, then it’s very possible that liability for the accident is going to fall on him, as he seemed to have been going quite a bit over the speed limit. There’s still a lot about this accident that hasn’t been reported. So hopefully the police investigation will be able to shed a little more light on that.
