Sioux Falls, SD — A car and a pickup truck were in a head-on wreck earlier in February of this year, leaving six people injured and one person facing alcohol-related charges. Police said that four people in a car and two more in a truck were injured after Dimitriy Romanov lost control of the car several miles east of Sioux Falls.
The accident happened on Sunday, February 8, along rural County Highway 151. Romanov was driving his car along Highway 151 when he came upon the curve where it merges with Highway 41.
From what the news reports have said, it appears that his car swerved into oncoming traffic and crashed into a pickup truck. Four people in the car and two more in the truck were all injured and taken to a hospital. Romanov, who was injured, was later arrested for DUI and other offenses, the police said.
More investigation was expected, as the identities of those involved have not yet been released.
