Hustisford, WI — There was an accident this past Wednesday morning (January 14, 2015) in the rural area of Hustisford that left a driver from Juneau with serious injuries. He was later identified as 22-year old Michael Scholze.
According to the news reports about this wreck, it happened around 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, along Highway 60, near Highway E. Scholze was injured after his car was in a head-on wreck an oncoming 18-wheeler truck.
The accident happened when Scholze was driving his Toyota east along Highway 60 that Wednesday morning and lost control near Willow Road. His car swerved out of the eastbound lanes and into the westbound lanes, where it was hit head-on by 51-year old Robert McLaughlin’s 18-wheeler truck.
While the impact didn’t injure McLaughlin, Michael Scholze was immediately taken via medical helicopter to a nearby hospital. His condition hasn’t been released.
Right now, police don’t know what might’ve caused Scholze to lose control of his car, but they’re looking into several different possibilities.
