Prescott, WA — There was a deadly accident this past Saturday (October 4, 2014) after a semi-truck and a van collided head-on along Highway 124. It happened at about 5:30 a.m. that morning and the woman who died was identified as local Prescott resident Jenna Morton, 29 years old.
Police said that Morton was driving a van along Highway 124, headed east, that morning when she lost control for unknown reasons. Her van veered across the center line and into westbound traffic, where it was hit by an oncoming semi-truck.
The accident killed Morton immediately while the truck driver, 63-year old Juan Rivera, was hospitalized for his injuries.
So far, it’s not clear why Jenna Morton’s van swerved into oncoming traffic, but the authorities in Walla Walla County are going to investigate more this week.
They said the accident happened in between Prescott and Burbank, near C M Rice Road.
