Silverton, CO — A man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Silverton, Colorado, on Thursday, August 28, 2014. The accident took place near mile marker 60 on Highway 550, around 1:15 in the afternoon.
The accident is still being investigated, and details on how things occurred have not been released, except to say that the motorcycle collided with a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup was a 48-year old, male. His name has not been released.
Highway 550 was closed for about an hour while emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage. Traffic was back to its normal flow around 2:30.
