CONVERSE, IN — A passenger was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Converse, Indiana on Sunday, July 6th, 2014, according to the report from Komo Tribune.
Indiana State Police working with local accident investigation teams say that they have reason to believe Kyle Page was killed when the car in which he was a passenger is thought to have drifted off the road and rolled for reasons currently under investigation while driving on 950 East around 12:45 Sunday morning.

It is not clear from the report if Kyle Page was killed instantly in the crash, or if he was he died at a nearby hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was identified in the report as 26-year-old Bryan Zirkle, who currently faces drunk driving related charges.
The Indaian State Police is investigating the crash with representatives from the Miami County Sheriff’s Department.
Commentary:
The first thing that needs to be determined if alcohol was a factor. If alcohol was in fact the cause of this accident, the second in line needs to be where the driver was drinking before the accident. If the driver was trying to get home from a bar after a long night of drinking, the bar needs to be thoroughly investigated to see if they violated their promise to serve and sell alcohol safely and responsibly. If they failed to cut this driver off when he displayed signs of intoxication, the bar could be held liable for this accident, as they should be.
