LAKE CHARLES, LA — One person died after a tractor-trailer accident that happened in Lake Charles, Louisiana on Sunday, December 21st, 2014. The news article from KPLCTV said that the accident happened sometime Sunday afternoon.
One as-of-yet unidentified driver was hurt when the Chevy Corvette they were driving crashed into a tractor-trailer while driving on Highway 171. Police believe the Corvette struck the tractor-trailer after driving over the shoulder of the highway. The car lodged beneath the truck and erupted into flames.
The driver of the car was killed in the crash. Neither of the tractor-trailer’s two occupants reported injury after the crash.
Louisiana State Police are still going over the details of the crash at this time.
