Tucson, AZ — Police have identified Giovanni Sambrano, who was killed in a car accident in Tucson, Arizona, on Tuesday night. The accident took place near the intersection of Swan Blvd. and Speedway Blvd. at around 9:30.
Miguel Carrizoza was driving along Speedway when he ran a red light and collided with Sambrano. Carrizoza attempted to flee the scene, but witnesses to the accident detained him. Carrizoza was traveling with a passenger at the time. They both sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Sambrano was also taken to a local hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
Carrizoza was arrested and charged by Tucson police.
