On Wednesday September 1 28-year-old Daniel Jimenezwas critically injured in an auto accident in Lubbock TX. Jimenez was riding in a Mazda driven byanother person on University Avenue when the accident happened. According to local news stories a Jeep wasturning onto University Avenue at the 19th Street intersection whenthe driver of the Mazda allegedly ran a red light and crashed into the Jeep inthe intersection. Jimenez’s head crashedthrough the windshield in the accident and he was taken to Covenant MedicalCenter in critical condition. The driverof the Mazda suffered moderate injuries. No one was injured in the Jeep. Police are still investigating the accident determining whether or notcharges will be filed.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.
