On Sunday August 15 35-year-old Brandon Wallace wasinjured in a hit and run accident while riding his motorcycle in La MarqueTX. Wallace was travelling on FM 519 atapproximately 8:30 p.m. according to police. News reports indicate that he was hit by a Ford pickup truck frombehind. Police found the truck roughlythree blocks away with Wallace’s motorcycle wedged underneath it. The driver of the truth was arrested andcharged with failure to stop and render aid and driving while intoxicated. Other charges may be filed pending theconclusion of the investigation. Wallacewas rushed to John Sealy Hospital for treatment though thankfully hisinjuries are not life-threatening.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.
