On Friday July 16 a semi truck accident in Box ElderCounty UT left the semi truck’s driver 52-year-old James Love in criticalcondition. The accident happened atroughly 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 15. Local news stories state that Love was travelling south on theinterstate over a river when he allegedly lost control of his vehicle andcrashed into a guardrail. His big rigslid approximately 50 feet along the guardrail before tipping over it andfalling into the river. His trailerbroke open in the crash and his truck leaked over 200 gallons of dieselfuel. Love was seriously injured in thecrash and taken to University of Utah Hospital for treatment. 55-year-old Lloyd Laramee who was riding inLove’s truck received minor injuries in the accident. The crash is still under investigation aspolice try to discover what caused Love to lose control of the vehicle.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.
