On Wednesday April 14 Juan Gallegos-Casteneda was seriously injured in an accident in Omaha NE. Gallegos-Casteneda was a construction worker building handicap ramps for Swain Construction at the time of the incident. According to police he was struck in the head by a falling bucket that had been dislocated from the skid loader he was using. Gallegos-Casteneda was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. Police are still trying to determine how this accident occurred.
Being hurt in this kind of accident is a painful and traumatic experience. Investigators may determine that the victim’s injures were caused by the negligence of another person (in this case possibly the manufacturer of the skid loader the construction company or another worker). In this event the victim may wish to seek justice through a personal injury lawsuit. Unfortunately this is rarely an easy task. I have worked on cases like these for twenty years and in my experience both individuals and organizations will do whatever they can to avoid accepting responsibility for this type of incident. But in truth the law is on your side. With an experienced personal injury attorney helping you build a strong suit you can ensure that those liable for your injuries are held accountable.
