On Monday April 12 Ricky Williams was the victim of a construction zone accident in Carthage MO. Williams was doing roadwork on US 71 where the incident occurred. Initial police reports indicate that an RV driver struck Williams while passing through the construction zone. Williams was taken to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries. The accident is still under official investigation but so far no charges have been filed.
Being the victim of this kind of accident can be completely devastating. As officials investigate this incident they may reveal that the victim’s injuries were caused by the negligence of another party (possibly the RV driver the construction company or another person altogether). In these situations the victim may attempt to sue for personal injury. I wish I could say that this is a simple task but I have worked on these types of lawsuits for twenty years and in my experience both individuals and organizations will go to extraordinary lengths to avoid accepting liability for someone elses injuries. In truth however the law is on your side and with the help of a legal professional with personal injury experience you can be sure that the parties responsible for your suffering are held accountable.
