Adair, IA — Two people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle car accident in Adair, Iowa, on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. The accident took place on Interstate 80, just west of the town, around 4:00 in the morning.
Local reports identified 34-year old Kelius Guzman and 23-year old Jacob Grady as the two involved in the accident. Reports say that the two were traveling in the eastbound lanes of I-80 when they swerved to avoid hitting an animal. They drove into the median and went airborne as they drove off into an embankment. Their vehicle’s front end crashed into the ground as they came to a stop near the intersection of I-80 and 770th Street.
Emergency workers transported Guzman to Nebraska Medical Center by medical helicopter. Grady was also taken to NMC. Information on the extent of their injuries wasn’t available.
