FORNEY, TX — One man was hurt in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident that was reported in Forney, Texas on Friday, March 13th, 2015. News agencies said that the accident took place around 5:30 Friday afternoon.
Authorities believe one person was hurt when the motorcycle he was driving crashed on FM 1641. The news report said that the motorcyclist laid the bike down on it side before the accident. The report does not say why the accident happened.
The driver of the motorcyclist was flown to a Dallas hospital where he was being treated for his injuries.
Forney Police and Fire Departments responded to the accident scene.

The news said that the motorcyclist laid down the motorcycle, but does anybody know why? Was there another vehicle involved? Did the motorcyclist put down the bike in order to avoid a vehicle that cut him off unexpectedly? I know a lot of motorcyclists, and have yet to meet a single one that would lay down their motorcycle for fun or curiosity’s sake. If anybody knows the why behind this accident, I’d be very interested to learn what they know.
