AUSTIN, TX — One truck driver was rushed to the hospital following an accident between two tractor-trailers that happened in Austin, Texas on Monday, March 16th, 2015. News articles from the area said that the accident happened around 3:24 Monday morning.
One person was taken to the hospital after the truck he was driving collided with a stopped tractor-trailer on Interstate 35. Police said that a truck had stalled when the second truck hit the stalled truck from the rear.
The driver of the rear truck was taken by EMS to a local hospital where he was being treated for unspecified injuries.
The Austin Police Department is handling the investigation at this time.

The news said that the one of the truck had stalled in the accident. Most people would automatically assume that the rear driver is at fault, but with commercial trucks like this, it may not be as simple. Did the truck driver of the stalled vehicle put out the proper warning markers and triangles to warn drivers of the blocked traffic? Truck drivers have pretty high standards when it comes to warning other drivers of potential hazards on the road. If the driver failed to do so, the trucking company behind the driver could bear at least a portion of the liability in the accident.
