Wood County, TX — A pedestrian was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in Wood County, Texas, on Thursday, March 12, 2015. The accident took place on FM 852, around 5:45 in the afternoon.
The vehicle fled the scene following the crash.
Local sources say that the vehicle involved in the accident is small and light-colored. Officials also say that the vehicle will have damage to the rearview mirror on the passenger side.
The pedestrian involved in the accident was not identified. Authorities say that they were taken to Trinity Mother Francis. At last report, they were listed in stable condition.
Local authorities are asking anyone with information on this accident to call the Garland or Tyler, Texas, DPS offices.
