Commentary
Unfortunately, vehicles like these just aren’t as safe as many would like to believe. They suffer from a whole host of safety issues. One of those is that, if they’re ever improperly loaded, and the load shifts while the truck is out on the road, the truck is susceptible to rolling over. I don’t know if anything like that happened here, but it’s something that definitely needs to be looked in. There’s a very good chance that the employer’s workers’ comp policy will cover this accident. But if the accident happened because of a load that was improperly secured, then it’s possible that whoever was responsible for loading the truck could be held responsible.
