Forney, TX — There was an accident along FM 548 in Forney this past Saturday (March 7, 2015) that left a man injured and having to be taken to a hospital. Police didn’t really give out many details, but the man is reported in serious condition.
This accident happened at about 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, in between Grayhawk Drive and Sandy Lane. Police said that a man in a red car was driving south on FM 548 that morning when he lost control near Sandy Lane and swerved into oncoming traffic.
His car was then hit by a northbound pickup truck and went off the side of the roadway, where it crashed into a shallow ditch on the shoulder. The man driving the red car was thrown from the driver’s seat and had to be airlifted to a Dallas hospital.
His name wasn’t given, but he was allegedly in serious condition. Police are looking into what might’ve caused the accident.
