Commentary
Police say that the man responsible for this accident caused things because he swerved to avoid hitting traffic that was slowing ahead of him. We’ll never be able to rid ourselves of all traffic accidents. But there are things we can do to help make sure they happen less. One of those things is to always drive at a safe speed. The second is to drive at a safe distance from the person ahead of you. Sometimes cars slow down, and if they ever do that suddenly, you want to make sure that you have time enough to slow down as well. If the driver responsible for things here had been following that advice, would this accident have even happened?
