Amarillo, TX — A woman from Fritch was badly injured along with a local Amarillo man after they were involved in a head-on wreck. This happened at about 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday (February 18, 2015) and the Fritch woman was identified as Teri Sibly, 37, while the Amarillo man was identified as Khorshed Khoshan, 53.
According to the reports, it looks like Khoshan may have been the cause of the accident. Police said that he was driving his Ford SUV east along Amarillo Boulevard/I-40 Business this past Wednesday morning when he lost control near Lipscomb Street.
His SUV, which had allegedly been speeding, swerved into the median and went into the oncoming lanes of traffic, where it collided head-on with Sibly’s Chevy Suburban.
The accident left both Teri Sibly and Khoshan with serious, life-threatening injuries. At the last update on Thursday, the two had been taken to a hospital and the crash site was still being investigated. Aside from speeding, police aren’t sure what might have caused Khoshan to lose control of his SUV that morning.
