Lexington, KY — There was a construction-related accident that injured a worker at the Virginia Military Institute in late January that injured a worker. The man’s name was later released as Allen Rhodenizer, from Glasgow, and he was injured after an accident occurred at the Cormack Field House.
Police didn’t give out a lot of details about what happened, but said that it took place on Thursday, January 29, 2015. Rhodenizer was working inside the Cormack Field House building that day and was with G.J. Hopkins HVAC company when it happened.
Allegedly, OSHA is already investigating this, which is why VMI wouldn’t provide any details about what happened or how severe the injuries were. Later, a news report confirmed that Rhodenizer was actually in critical condition. The Cormack Field House was apparently under renovation, but that’s all the detail available.
More information will hopefully be released later.
