LAS VEGAS, NV — One person died and another was seriously hurt after an accident between a scooter and an ambulance in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday, February 9th, 2015. The reports surrounding the accident said the crash happened sometime Monday afternoon.
Police familiar with details of the accident said that one person died when the scooter they were driving and an ambulance collided at the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Boulder Highway. Authorities working with accident investigators said that the scooter struck the ambulance in the intersection. The ambulance was responding to a call with its lights and sirens activated.
The driver of the scooter was killed in the accident, and a passenger was taken by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The Las Vegas Police Department was handling the accident investigation, and hope to release their findings in the coming days.
