Indianapolis, IN — One person was injured and another was killed in a car accident in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. The accident took place on East Stop 11 Road, in front of the Rainbow Child Care Center.
Around 3:30 in the afternoon, two vehicles collided head-on near the intersection of Nuckols Lane. One of the drivers was killed in the accident and pronounced dead at the scene. The second driver suffered a broken arm in addition other, unspecified injuries, and was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
The names of those involved were not released.
No other injuries were reported. Police are still working to determine the cause of the crash.

I think a lot of people would look at an accident like this and assume that one of the two drivers wasn’t paying attention, crossed into the oncoming lane and caused the wreck. Something like that is definitely a possibility. But it’s not the only possibility. I’ve seen plenty of accidents in my time practicing law in which the cause seemed very obvious in the beginning. But after an thorough investigation, turned out to have been caused by something completely different. Rushing to judgement and blaming someone of causing an accident like this before the cause is officially determined never did anyone any favors.
