Suffolk, VA — A man was injured in an 18-wheeler accident in Suffolk, Virginia, on Monday, February 9, 2015. The accident happened at the intersection of Kings Highway and Sleepy Hole Road, around 6:15 in the morning.
The victim of the accident, identified only as a 79-year old man, crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was backing up into a driveway. Emergency workers were called in to the scene of the accident to help extricate the man from his vehicle.
Reports say that the man suffered minor cuts and bruises, but refused treatment at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer, who was also not identified, was not injured.
Police are still investigating the accident.
