Marshfield, WI — There was an accident reported last November in Marshfield that left local resident Craig Nutter, 36, with critical injuries. Recently, the driver (identified as Robert Purkapile, 58) has been charged with causing injury by drunken driving and hit-and-run causing great bodily harm. His case was apparently scheduled for the end of January.
The accident in question happened along Central Avenue and Arnold Street on November 7, 2014. At about 9:30 p.m. in the evening, police said that Purkapile was driving his pickup truck along Central when he crashed into Craig Nutter, who was walking along the roadway.
Police said that Purkapile wasn’t cooperative with officers at the scene, who later arrested him after suspecting him of being under the influence.
