Commentary
There are plenty of truck drivers on the road who are safe, and do their best to make sure that accidents like this don’t happen. But there are too many drivers who just aren’t doing enough. Accidents like this shouldn’t happen, and if the driver of the truck had been driving at a safe speed and at a safe distance from the two vehicles he hit, I wonder if this accident would have happened. Reading about accidents like this always makes me wonder how many bad the choices the driver is making out on the road that aren’t leading to accidents like this. Hopefully, this will be a wake up call to the driver and his employer both, because you can bet that this is something an injured driver can hold the trucking company responsible for.
