Amarillo, TX — Reports say that a man was injured in an accident that police believe may have been caused by alcohol. The accident took place in Amarillo, Texas, on Monday, February 2, 2015.
The driver involved in the accident was at the intersection of 45th Avenue and Georgia Street when he drove off the road and crashed into a light pole. The man hit his head on his windshield, but the full extent of his injuries is not clear at this time.
Reports did not list the man’s name. It’s not clear if the man was taken to a hospital.
Police believe the man may have been driving drunk at the time, and that this led to the crash. The investigation into the accident is underway.
No one else was injured in the accident.
