Las Cruces, NM — A woman sustained critical injuries in a single-vehicle car accident in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on Monday, January 26, 2015. The accident happened on Interstate 10, just west of the city.
Before the accident, police were receiving phone calls reporting a woman who was weaving in and out of traffic. The woman was speeding and lost control of her vehicle, which veered off the road and rolled over around 2:15 in the afternoon.
Emergency workers responding to the accident took the woman to University Medical Center in El Paso. At last report, the woman was listed in critical condition.
Police say that they’re currently investigating the accident. They’re still unsure as to what caused the accident, but haven’t ruled out drug use.
No one else was injured in the crash.
