Commentary:
Just from what the news said, I can’t for the life of me understand how this accident even happened. Reports said that the tow truck driver decided to pull a u-turn from the shoulder of a highway. Does this seem like the safest, or wisest decision? Was there some kind of legitimate reason that the tow truck driver simply couldn’t drive down the road a few blocks to find a proper turnaround? Was causing an accident and injury to another person worth the five minutes they may have saved by doing something like this? If the news is correct, then the tow truck company is probably going to find themselves squarely in the hot-seat for this accident, as they should be. The kind of driving described in the news shouldn’t be tolerated from anyone, especially large commercial vehicles like tow trucks or delivery vans.
