Commentary:
I noticed that the news reports mentioned that the victim was driving a pickup truck, namely, a pickup truck that has a sordid history with rollover accidents. Truck’s like this one are notorious for their roofs crushing inward during rollover accidents. If the injuries the driver suffered were in any way related to the roof caving inward on him during the accident, there is a possibility that the truck’s manufacturer could be held liable for a portion of this accident. Pickup trucks and SUVs both have very high centers of gravity, meaning, they are very roll prone. Shouldn’t a vehicle that is susceptible to rollovers be able to actually handle a rollover?
