Copperas Cove, TX — A local woman, 56-year old Sandra Spears, was killed last week after her car was in a rollover accident along Lutheran Church Road. This happened at about 3:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, January 1, police said.
Mrs. Spears had been driving her Mercury car along Lutheran Church Road that afternoon, which is just north of Copperas Cove, when she lost control along a sharp curve in the road. Her car swerved off Lutheran Church Road and went into a ditch, where it overturned.
She was killed as a result, though none others were in the car at the time. Apparently, wet roads and rainy weather were major factors here, but police haven’t determined if anything else contributed to the accident.
