GENTRY, AR — Bradlee Shrum died after a single-vehicle accident that happened in Gentry, Arkansas on Sunday, January 4th, 2014. The official report said that the accident happened at about 9:35 Sunday evening.
Bradlee Shrum died after the Mitsubishi Outlander he was driving crashed on Highway 59 near the intersection with Dawn Hill Road. Police believe that the vehicle drove off the road in a curve before the SUV rolled. It is not clear what may have caused the accident at this time.
Shrum was rushed to Washington Regional Medical Center where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
Arkansas State Police assisted with the accident investigation.

In the 25 years I’ve been handling and litigating cases, I’ve noticed that the public seems to believe that every single-vehicle accident out on the roads is simply the fault of the driver, but is this realistic? Absolutely not. The vast majority of the people that believe this have never been operating a car when the control of the vehicle was taken from you by a mechanical problem. If this truck suffered some kind of steering lockup, the evidence of such a problem would be buried deep within the inner workings of the car. All it would take is an investigator with a set of tools and know-how to pinpoint what exactly went wrong.
