San Antonio, TX — There was a serious car-vs-pedestrian accident that happened early this morning (Thursday, December 11), claiming one man’s life. Police said that 47-year old Dathan Woodrow was killed at about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday after he was hit by a car while crossing the road.
According to the police reports, Woodrow had been trying to cross Bandera Road in West San Antonio near Cincinnati Avenue when he was hit by a gray Chevy pickup truck. Police said that another vehicle then hit the Chevy truck, which caused it to strike Woodrow a second time.
He was badly injured by the impacts and was taken to University Hospital. However, Dathan Woodrow died a short time later from his injuries. Police are filing any charges right now and aren’t sure if the driver of the gray truck had done anything wrong, since Woodrow allegedly wasn’t using a crosswalk at the time.
